Summer Daze.

This summer brought a first trip to sleep away camp, visits with family, some good-bye’s and a move to a new house and neighbourhood. We traded in our postage stamp backyard for one with lots of room to play and grow. We left behind the busy streets of the city for the quietness of the woods. I honestly haven’t looked back. This feels like home and we are all embracing our new digs and exploring our new surroundings.

The lazy days of summer are slowly coming to an end, but I am excited about new beginnings, sweater weather, hot chocolate and the smell of fall. Until then I will enjoy the warm sun on my shoulders, the vibrant sunsets and an excuse to eat popsicles anytime of the day.

Country Girl.

While back in Saskatchewan I had the opportunity to shoot my beautiful young cousin, Alishia. Not only was she a willing model but she was right at home wandering through fields and letting me play around. These photos were all taken right at the farm she has grown up on and I think her comfort and ease comes though in the images. Thanks so much Lish. xo

Prairie Calling

My girls and I headed to Saskatchewan for the annual family gathering at my aunt and uncles farm. I look forward to this visit every year. Not only because I am surrounded by other people who are an awful lot like me, but the landscape of my home province always takes my breath away. They don’t call it “land of the living skies” for nothing. Here is what we got up to…
